Tell us a little bit about Blueflash. You're clearly a fun group of people who love what you do. How did you get started?
We love what we do, and that helps in the fun department for sure! We actually got started almost by accident. I bought a camera because I've always wanted one, taught myself how to shoot, did small sessions for people and it started to snowball. Someone asked about a wedding, and next thing I knew the business was born. A couple years in I started to assemble a team of awesome people that help make Blueflash what it is today. We get to be a part of so many people's weddings and celebrations. It's pretty much the coolest job in the world. I know a lot of people say that, but I promise it's true for us!
Elevator pitch. ...1-2-3-go! (You have 30 seconds).
We've evolved into a one-stop shop for wedding and event imagery. We love what we do and try to make sure that shows through in everything we produce. We're real people, our clients are real people, and we understand that everyone just wants to enjoy their event and end up with great images and video to remember it with. We offer photography, cinematography, and the Bluecube - our photobooth. We'll be launching another service at the beginning of the year but that's a secret for now! Why should you choose us? Because we love this stuff!
You're in the business of helping people celebrate significant milestones in their lives. How do you define "celebration"?
Celebration: Getting together with people who love you and are genuinely happy for you and whatever it is that is the cause of occasion.
The mission of & celebrate is to inspire people to find something to celebrate every day. What little things in your business are you celebrating today?
As we start to unwind from this year's wedding season, I'm celebrating how we've got such an awesome team of people that make up Blueflash. Not sure how we ended up getting so lucky with who has come on board, but I'm definitely thankful for it and wouldn't want it any other way.
On a personal note, we're celebrating our oldest son's fourth birthday!
Describe your favorite way to celebrate.
Just hanging out with my favorite people is good enough for me. I don't need anything elaborate. Maybe some tea and ice cream. I think I might be either lame or getting old!
Lastly, how can people get in touch with you?
There are tons of ways, but email is probably best. Send it right to me – firstname.lastname@example.org and I can take care of you. There's also:
Or if you don't have access to any of those you can send us smoke signals. We'll keep an eye out for them.
