Hello 2015. It's nice to meet you!
Happy New Year, y'all!
A LOT happened in 2014 for me: I turned 30! I launched my blog and business and simultaneously released my first product, a greeting card line: Say it with Shoes. I sold over 135 boxes of cards. Made my first $200 donation to Soles4Souls.org as a result of those sales. Grew my list from 0 to 107. Joined the Instagram & Twitter revolution (thanks for helping me make it a habit, Brittanny.) Hosted two DIT (do.it.together) workshops in my home and joint-hosted another with Carole Ann Penney. Left my full-time job. Modeled for the Lady Project Holiday Gift Guide. Received a shout out on the Rhode Show (thanks, Sierra!) Thoroughly enjoyed working part-time at Rhody Craft. Moonlighted as a professional gift wrapper over the holidays. Collaborated and built a couple of websites for some awesome people: snowberrystudio.com & versapong.com. Recently accepted a new full-time job. I start tomorrow. (Note: Almost all of this happened between October 25th and today.) I guess it is no surprise that my body/mind/soul is craving nourishment. I've decided "nourish" will be my guiding word for 2015.
Thank you for being part of my journey. I will be forever grateful for your readership, friendship and support. I am so excited to see how 2015 unfolds. I am keeping myself open to the magic that is bound to appear. Welcome your own new year with self-full anticipation for all that is still to come.
Tonight, I'd like to leave you with this quote from Neil Gaiman:
"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art --- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."
With love and hope for a celebratory new year! P
