Happy Galentine's Day! I am so excited to introduce you to the beautiful, incredibly talented, Brittanny Taylor. This gal's photography has elevated the & celebrate brand beyond my wildest dreams. I am so honored to have Brittanny in my corner. I am eternally grateful for her talent, social media guidance, and friendship.  Read on to learn what Brittanny is offering the world and what she is celebrating in her life & business right now.

Give us a quick history of your business(es) and how they came to be.

Brittanny Taylor Photography: I went to school for filmmaking and started working at Sony selling cameras after I graduated (They saw I had a degree in film and that was the only reason they made me the camera expert. Thinking about it now they should have put me in televisions. Life would be different if they did…) Anyway, after Sony I worked for a local camera shop. I got laid off from said camera shop nine months later. I owned a DSLR so I thought I would try out the photography thing. Almost six years later, I haven’t stopped.

1am Beauty: I am the photographer for the PVD Lady Project and I was shooting an event last Spring. I was getting a little distracted so I started talking to a girl at the bar. That girl was Ashley McMullen, vice president of Spa Source Online, an online spa and beauty store. After a few months of telling her I should work for the company, I was brought on and 1am Beauty was born.

Elevator pitch. 1-2-3-go! (You have 30 seconds).

I am a fashion and lifestyle photographer working in New York and New England, creative director, consultant, and avid YouTube watcher.

You're in the business of helping bloggers celebrate their brands through photography and social media promotion. How do you define "celebration"?

I like to make sure all my bloggers have a great time while we’re shooting. We laugh, we have a glass of champagne, and we play around with clothing. Each photo shoot is like a little party. To me, you don’t need a big special occasion to celebrate. You can celebrate the little things, like spending time with friends. We normally don’t consider that a celebration but it is. It’s bringing happiness to your life and a smile to your face. There is cause to celebrate every day.

Creating a valuable social presence is so important these days. Would you be willing to share three of your best social media practices with us?

1) Instagram is the visual representation of your brand. Only the best gets posted there. For everything else, use Snapchat.

2) Don’t post too much. Social media is already oversaturated so don’t post something every ten minutes. On the other hand don’t post too little or else people will forget you exist. Find a balance that works for you.

3) Keep it positive! If something is really grinding your gears and you need to tell someone, talk to your mom, best friend, or pet. Don't post it online.

The mission of & celebrate is to inspire people to find something to celebrate every day. What little things in your life & business are you celebrating today?

I celebrate that I am able to be a photographer full time. It can be hard to live off of a creative career without having a day job so I’m grateful everyday to be able to do what I do.

Describe your favorite way to celebrate.

I love hanging out with my friends with champagne. It’s the best.

Lastly, how can we get in touch with you?

You can find me at @brittanny on Instagram and Twitter, facebook.com/brittannytaylor, and brittannypocket on Snapchat (I’m in love with Snapchat lately and it is taking over social media so get on it if you don’t have it!)
